Infant Formulas for Routine Feeding, Intolerance, and Food Allergies

Similac® infant formulas provide complete nutrition up to 12 months—and they have no palm olein oil and no artificial growth hormones.*

Milk-Based Nutrition: Routine Formulas

Infant formulas modeled after breast milk and designed for routine feeding, including an option with HMO prebiotics and a formula that starts with fresh milk from cows in Ireland.

Similac® 360 Total Care®†

Has 5 HMO prebiotics structurally identical to those in breast milk.

Pure Bliss® by Similac® Irish Farms

Gentle nutrition imported from Europe: Starts with fresh milk from cows in Ireland, and has prebiotics for digestive health (GOS), nucleotides for immune support, and brain-nourishing DHA.

For Tolerance Issues: Gentle Formulas

For infants who experience mild intolerance to routine formulas, you may want to suggest a gentle formula option.

Similac® 360 Total Care® Sensitive

Designed for fussiness and gas due to lactose sensitivity, and has 5 HMO prebiotics structurally identical to those in breast milk.

Similac Pro-Total Comfort®†

Designed for infants who may have difficulty tolerating other milk-based formulas: A gentle formula with 2'-FL HMO for immune system support and partially hydrolyzed whey protein for easy digestion.

Similac® Soy Isomil®

Lactose-free, milk-free, gentle, plant protein-based soy formula.

Infant Formulas for Food Allergy and Prematurity

For infants with food allergies or prematurity, you may choose to recommend one of the following specialized formulas.

Similac® Alimentum®

Designed for food allergies and colic symptoms due to protein sensitivity: An extensively hydrolyzed protein-based, hypoallergenic formula with 2'-FL HMO for immune support, Alimentum starts reducing colic symptoms due to protein sensitivity within 24 hours in most infants.

EleCare®

Designed for infants who cannot tolerate intact or hydrolyzed protein: A hypoallergenic, amino acid-based formula that does not contain milk protein, soy protein, fructose, galactose, lactose, or gluten.

Similac® NeoSure®†

Nutrient-enriched§ formula for infants born prematurely: Supports excellent catch-up growth during the first year.

* Milk ingredients are derived from milk of non-rbST-treated cows, which is not different from milk of rbST-treated cows.

Not for infants or children with galactosemia.

Based on a clinical study with Similac® Alimentum® Ready to Feed (without DHA/ARA, 2′-FL HMO, lutein, and beta-carotene). A crossover clinical study of infants experiencing colic symptoms due to cow’s milk protein sensitivity showed 5 of 6 infants initiated on Alimentum during the first week achieved a reduction in excessive crying. Data on file. Study AC84, August 2004. Abbott Nutrition; Columbus, Ohio.

§ Increased protein, vitamins, and minerals compared to term infant formula.

Designed as a complete or partial breast milk substitute.
